The Royal Enfield Thunderbird has a classic cruiser style and is one of the most viable options in the cruiser segment in India.

Royal Enfield launched the Thunderbird in 2000 and in 2009 the company facelifted the Thunderbird extensively by powering it with the new 346cc unit construction engine (UCE).

The new Royal Enfield Thunderbird features a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, round headlamp, spoked wheels, cruiser handlebars and forward set foot controls which offers excellent comfort and riding position.

The Thunderbird features double saddle seat along with a backrest for the pillion which makes it attractive and comfortable.

The Royal Enfield Thunderbird weighs 192kg which makes it easy to manage as well as improving the stability of the ride. With a ground clearance of 140mm, the Thunderbird provides stability when taking corners.

The Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 is powered by an air-cooled, twin-spark 346cc single-cylinder, four-stroke engine which produces 19.8 bhp and 28Nm of torque.

The unit of the Thunderbird 350 is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The Royal Enfield Thunderbird is one of the best cruiser bikes in India offering adequate power at the low and mid-range.

Along with the comfortable seating position and the handlebar, the Thunderbird provides excellent ride and handling. Be it weekend rides or long rides; the Royal Enfield Thunderbird can be regarded as one of the best cruisers in India.

The Royal Enfield Thunderbird offers a mileage of approximately 30kmpl, and with the 20-litre petrol tank, the bike can travel up to 600km; however, this depends on the road and riding conditions.

The Royal Enfiled Thunderbird features projector headlamps, hazard lamps, and an LED taillight.

The Thunderbird also comes equipped with a twin-pod instrument cluster with an analog speedometer and tachometer on the left pod, while the right is a small LCD for the fuel gauge, odometer, trip meter, service indicator, and clock.

The Royal Enfield Thunderbird is a traditional cruiser styled bike along with modern technology. The Thunderbird has been designed to ride long distances with comfort and convenience.

That said, the Royal Enfield Thunderbird is an excellent bike for your regular city commute as well.
